Fraudulent email claiming to be from Girobank reported!

We would like to inform you that we have taken notice of a fraudulent e-mail that is circulating. In this e-mail customers and non-customers are being asked to login to their internet banking account.

Our Information Security department has detected this message and confirms that this is a fraudulent e-mail, better known as phishing.  Phishing is the act of attempting to acquire information such as usernames, passwords and credit card details by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication.

We kindly advice you not to click on or otherwise respond to any email requests for personal information, including your internet banking credentials or access card information.  In case you already logged into the fraudulent site, please contact Girobank immediately.
